I Finished the Stepback Cupboard!

I Finished!
Yes!
This has to be the best project yet, I love it!

From the knot holes.....

To the olde rusty hinges...
The paint turned out the best olde blue gray!
and lets just say the backboard, Well I think it speaks for itself!

I left the wood inside natural as well as the dividing shelf and the top of the cupboard.

Sorry about the lighting,
It was really late at night and I could not get a clear shot for nothing!
Hubby brought in a new full spectrum tube light for me to get this one!
Thanks Honey!
Yes he reads my blog!
It was a little tricky getting a full view shot because of where it sits.
It shows a little darker in this shot.
I also went with a different sack for the curtain.
and I decorated it!

I'm using the bottom for storage!
Now I just need to find some brooms for the door.
I also managed to get a second project completed.
I needed to replace a bench that I was using for a crock bench.

The legs are leftover banisters that I cut down and the rest is rough cut lumber,
finished with buttermilk paint and aged to primitive perfection!

Now, I think I'll go dig around out in the lumber pile and see if I can't find me a dry sink!
Maybe a nice big one to set behind my sofa,
Maybe something to match the stepback.
Guess I'll pull up the olde rocker and talk it through with Tucker,
She does share my love for all things Olde and Worn!

She sure does like her new cradle!
She kind of looks like a ghost kitty laying in there!

How Well Do Your Blog Buddies Know You? ....and new Project!

I don't know about you, but one of mine has me figured out!
 Tell me what you think?
 Think she does?
Isn't that great!
A while back I stumbled across a great blog.
JoAnne and I did a little swap, I sent her a box of fabric and some secret goodies.. and she sent me all this!
How did she know?
I Love It! Thank You JoAnne!
It looks so good on my new table too!
The other one you will have to wait to see displayed...Because you all know me!
I guess I am a true artistic person, I get distracted easily and have about ten projects going all the time!
Things around here at Loafer Mountain are always busy and exciting!
You see, after vacation and getting caught up, I had a brainstorm and decided it had been far to long since I had done a building project. Hubby and I decided to see what we could create with this...
Doesn't look like much yet...
But with a little imagination! And a few power tools...You could have the makin's of something great!

What do you think so far? Does it look like something yet?
How about we add some old magazine pages!
Keep adding till it looks something like this...
It's the backboard for this!
It's now painted and just about ready for assembly...
So stay tuned... I'll post pics as soon as it's finished..
Do you all remember the feed sack that I picked up on vacation?
It's going to be the curtain for the bottom cupboard...
Can you all guess what color I chose?
